The Riedel Performance Cabernet/Merlot glasses are a technologically advanced addition to any wine enthusiast's collection, combining both functional and aesthetic elements.

The generous size of the glasses allows the bouquet to develop fully, smoothing out the rough edges and emphasizing the fruit while playing down the bitter qualities of the tannin. This results in a balanced wine tasting experience. The glasses' design was re-developed in 2018 to enhance aromatics, making them perfect for a variety of grapes like Pomerol, St. Julien, Merlot, Margaux, and Cabernet Sauvignon​​​​​​​.

The Performance series is the first in Riedel's history to feature bowls with a light optic impact. This design feature not only adds a pleasing visual aspect to the glasses but also increases their inner surface area, significantly enhancing the wine's aromatic qualities.

Co-designed by Georg and Maximilian Riedel, the Performance collection is a user-friendly and technologically advanced series of grape varietal specific glasses. These glasses are machine-made from crystal, ensuring precision and consistency in every piece​.

In terms of practicality, these glasses are dishwasher safe, making them easy to maintain and suitable for regular use. Each set includes two glasses, with a volume of 29.4 oz and a height of 9.6 inches, providing ample space for wine to breathe and develop its full range of flavors.
