Wise Monkey Rum & Cola Can

Wise Monkey Rum & Cola: A Bold Mauritian-Inspired Cocktail in a Can

Wise Monkey Rum & Cola is a ready-to-drink cocktail that reimagines the classic rum and cola combination with a distinctive Mauritian-inspired twist. Created by the Wise Monkey rum brand, the drink brings together dark rum and familiar cola in a convenient can, making it an easy option for those who enjoy classic spirit-based cocktails without the need for mixing. Launched in 2025, it reflects the brand's focus on bringing rum flavours and island-inspired character to modern drinking occasions.

The aroma combines the familiar sweetness of cola with the deeper character of dark rum. Expect a rich, inviting profile with notes commonly associated with dark rum, including toasted caramel and gentle molasses-like sweetness, complemented by the distinctive spiced aroma of cola.

On the palate, Wise Monkey Rum & Cola brings together the rounded character of rum and the sweet, lightly spiced flavour of cola. The combination delivers a familiar cocktail taste with a bolder spirit-led profile than many lighter ready-to-drink options. Its sweetness and warming rum character create a lingering finish suited to those who prefer a full-flavoured canned cocktail.

The drink was introduced as Wise Monkey's first ready-to-drink cocktail, drawing on the brand's connection to Mauritius and its rum-making identity. The brand's Mauritian Dark Rum is described as rich and layered, with toasted caramel and tropical warmth. The Rum & Cola product has been advertised in a 330ml can at 15% ABV, although packaging and specifications may vary by market, so check the product label to confirm the exact details of your listing.

For the best serving experience, chill Wise Monkey Rum & Cola thoroughly and enjoy it straight from the can or poured over ice into a tall glass. A wedge of lime adds a fresh citrus accent and brings it closer to the classic Cuba Libre cocktail. Because of its reported alcohol strength, enjoy it slowly and serve in measured portions rather than treating it like a standard soft drink.

Pair this rum and cola cocktail with barbecue ribs, grilled burgers, spicy chicken wings or savoury snacks. Its sweet cola character works well with smoky and chargrilled flavours, while salted nuts, crisps and casual party appetisers make easy accompaniments for relaxed gatherings.

Whether you're looking for a convenient ready-to-drink cocktail or a bold alternative to beer, Wise Monkey Rum & Cola offers a familiar combination with a distinctive rum-led identity. Enjoy it during a gathering in Dubai Marina, at a barbecue in Jumeirah, or as part of an evening with friends on Abu Dhabi's Al Reem Island.
