VIVIR Reposado Tequila

VIVIR Reposado Tequila: A Rich and Smooth Bourbon-Cask Aged Tequila

VIVIR Reposado Tequila is a premium 100% Blue Weber Agave tequila crafted in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Made using mature, estate-grown agave and traditional production methods, this Reposado begins with VIVIR's Blanco tequila before being aged for six months in American oak bourbon casks. The time spent in oak adds depth, warmth and maturity while retaining the distinctive earthy character of cooked agave. Bottled at 40% ABV, it offers a smooth and versatile style suited to both sipping and cocktails.

On the nose, VIVIR Reposado opens with soft vanilla, roasted agave and a subtle touch of white pepper. Layers of Manuka honey, salted popcorn and bittersweet herbs develop alongside wet flint and fresh lemon zest, creating an inviting and complex aroma profile. The palate brings together rich butterscotch, vegetal agave and orange rind, followed by notes of cedar, tropical fruit and fresh herbs. A gentle touch of red chilli, wood smoke and honeyed citrus adds warmth and complexity. The finish is smooth and lingering, with vanilla-oak sweetness balanced by fresh agave and garden herb notes.

VIVIR Reposado is produced at Casa Maestri in Jalisco using 100% Blue Weber Agave grown in the highlands of Mexico. VIVIR uses traditional brick ovens, known as hornos, to slowly roast mature agave before fermentation and distillation. The tequila is made using natural water from a volcanic spring at the distillery, while the Reposado is subsequently rested in American oak bourbon casks for six months to develop its additional layers of flavour and texture.

The six-month maturation gives VIVIR Reposado a natural balance between bright agave character and barrel-derived richness. Vanilla, caramel and melted-butter notes soften the earthy agave foundation, while oak, citrus, herbs and gentle spice provide added complexity. This makes the Reposado approachable for tequila newcomers while retaining enough depth for those looking for a more expressive aged tequila.

VIVIR Reposado can be enjoyed neat or over ice to appreciate its rounded texture and bourbon-cask influence. It also works beautifully in classic tequila cocktails such as an Old Fashioned, Negroni or Margarita. For a simple long drink, try it with ginger ale, which complements the tequila's gentle sweetness, vanilla and caramel character.

For food pairing, VIVIR Reposado works particularly well with grilled meats, roasted chicken, barbecue ribs and smoky Mexican dishes. Its caramel and vanilla notes complement grilled corn, roasted vegetables and caramelised sauces, while its citrus and herbal character pairs naturally with tacos, ceviche and spicy dishes. It can also be enjoyed alongside aged cheeses, salted nuts and desserts featuring caramel or dark chocolate.

Whether enjoyed neat after dinner in Jumeirah, served over ice during an evening in Dubai Marina, or mixed into a refined cocktail in Downtown Dubai, VIVIR Reposado brings the character of Jalisco and the warmth of bourbon-cask ageing to the occasion. It is equally suited to gatherings around Palm Jumeirah, Yas Island and Saadiyat Island, or relaxed celebrations across Al Maryah Island and Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi.
