Montrevenots is a distinguished south-facing premier cru situated high on the slope above the famed Clos des Mouches. Touching the border of Pommard and influenced by the cooling breezes that drift through the Combe Lulunne, this site offers a unique convergence of warmth, elevation, and fresh airflow—conditions that shape wines of precision, lift, and undeniable character.

In the glass, this cuvée unfolds with layered aromas of fresh cherry and raspberry, accented by subtle rose-petal and red-flower notes. The palate is medium-bodied yet confidently structured, driven by fine dusty tannins and a clean, mineral edge that extends into a lingering, refined finish. Elegant, pure, and quietly powerful, it is a superb articulation of terroir and craftsmanship.

This wine pairs beautifully with game birds such as quail or pheasant, especially when served with a tart berry-based sauce that mirrors the wine’s brightness and aromatic charm.

About The Winery

Vincent Dancer grew up in Alsace, where he inherited a love of wine and photography from his father. After studying engineering, his father suggested that Vincent spend some time in Burgundy, where the family owned some vines. Dancer was immediately hooked and decided to settle in Chassagne-Montrachet to make wine from the almost 6 hectares of well-situated vineyards. For more than two decades, the Domaine has been making terroir-driven wines with remarkable energy, length, and texture.

Dancer was a forward-thinking pioneer: he was the first producer in Chassagne-Montrachet to receive organic certification (2012). Although this practice is more common today, he remains one of the few. His farming style is transparent and honest, allowing the vines to speak for themselves. At 2016 Dancer was joined by his son, Théo. With Théo taking over, this philosophy will not change. His focus is not on altering the cellar work but on continually improving the vineyards. He follows his father's methods, something clearly reflected in the wines he makes from Roc Breia and under the Théo Dancer label in the Jura.

In the cellar, the approach is straightforward. The wines are pressed and then fermented with indigenous yeasts. They are aged in barrel, with 20–50% new oak depending on the vintage and cuvée. There is no bâtonnage. The wines are then transferred to stainless steel tanks to settle for a few months before bottling, which is done without fining or filtration. Only a small amount of sulphur is added before bottling.

Vincent Dancer manages vineyard holdings across Beaune, Pommard, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, and Chassagne-Montrachet.
