Roulette Unpeated Premium Blended Whisky: A Smooth and Creamy Indian Whisky

Roulette Unpeated Premium Blended Whisky is an Indian whisky from John Distilleries, crafted as an unpeated blend that combines rich malt character with premium grain spirit. Matured in carefully selected ex-bourbon casks, it offers a smooth and rounded style without the pronounced smoky character associated with peated whiskies. Its combination of sweet fruit, vanilla, gentle spice, and creamy malt gives it a distinctive and approachable Indian whisky character.

The nose is elegant and inviting, with delicate floral aromas complemented by gentle spice, sweet vanilla, and subtle woody notes. Ripe orchard fruit adds a fresh, fruity dimension, while the influence of ex-bourbon casks contributes warmth and depth. The overall aroma is soft and expressive, setting the stage for a rich and balanced palate.

On the palate, Roulette Unpeated opens with sweet malt and develops layers of ripe fruit, vanilla, and toasted nuts. The whisky has a smooth, rounded texture, with subtle spice and oak adding structure without overpowering its softer character. Competition tasting notes have also highlighted its creamy and spiced character, with malt, grape, and vanilla coming together harmoniously.

The whisky is matured in selected ex-bourbon casks, allowing the spirit to develop additional sweetness, vanilla character, and gentle oak influence. Bottled at 42.8% ABV, Roulette Unpeated is categorized as a premium blended unpeated whisky from India. The expression has earned recognition at international spirits competitions, including a Gold at Spirits Selection 2024 and a Silver medal with 90 points at the London Spirits Competition 2025.

Enjoy Roulette Unpeated neat to appreciate its malt, vanilla, fruit, and creamy character, or add a few drops of water to gently open its aromas. It can also be served over a large ice cube for a smoother, more relaxed experience. Its balanced profile makes it suitable for classic whisky cocktails where a softer, fruit-forward blended whisky is preferred.

Its smooth and lightly sweet character pairs particularly well with grilled meats, roasted chicken, barbecue dishes, smoked or aged cheeses, nuts, dark chocolate, and desserts featuring caramel or vanilla. The whisky’s gentle spice and toasted oak notes also complement rich Indian and Asian-inspired dishes without overwhelming their seasoning.

Roulette Unpeated Premium Blended Whisky is an excellent choice for whisky enthusiasts looking to explore a distinctive Indian blend, whether enjoyed neat, over ice, or in a carefully crafted cocktail. Its smooth malt character, ripe fruit, vanilla sweetness, and creamy finish make it a versatile addition to home bars and relaxed gatherings across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, from Jumeirah and Dubai Marina to Downtown Dubai, Palm Jumeirah, Yas Island, Saadiyat Island, and Al Maryah Island.
