Crafted with no more than 30% new oak during ageing, this wine allows its pure, expressive fruit to take centre stage, accented by subtle nuances of spice. In the glass, it reveals a dense ruby colour and an aromatic profile of ripe red and black cherries, delicate floral touches, and a whisper of oak. The palate is medium-bodied and impeccably balanced, supported by fine-grained tannins, lively acidity, and a refined structure that carries the wine into a lingering, elegant finish. It is a thoughtful, harmonious expression of Burgundian craftsmanship.

About The Winery

Michel Naddef discovered the profession alongside his parents at Domaine Philippe Naddef. Although he initially planned a career in electronics, the call of nature and wine soon redirected his path. He left his computer science studies and began training in oenology in Beaune.

His journey led him to two renowned Burgundy estates - Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé and Domaine Bertagna, where he spent several years refining his skills. In 2008, Michel returned to the family estate in Fixin, working for 14 years with his father Philippe before taking over following his father’s retirement. Over time, another ambition emerged, and in 2022, Michel Naddef launched his own winegrowing venture.

Michel firmly believes that 80% of a great wine is determined in the vineyard, beginning with the quality and meticulous selection of the grapes. Half of the fruit comes from the 5.5 hectares of family vineyards, that he cultivates himself. For the rest, Naddef remains closely involved. Every bunch entering his winery is harvested by his own team. The team hand-cuts each bunch, selects fruit directly in the vineyard, transports it in 20 kg crates in a refrigerated truck to preserve freshness, and sorts it again on the table.

Michel Naddef’s vinification are tailor-made for each vintage and terroir, from choosing the harvest date to adjusting the proportion of de-stemming, extraction intensity, and fermentation length. His use of new oak varies by cru: none for regional wines, 20% for village cuvées, and between 50% and 100% for Premier and Grand Crus. No fining or filtration.
