The Glen Moray Distillery has been producing single malt Scotch whisky in Elgin since the 19th century. Elgin is the capital of Speyside, Scotland's most famous whisky region.
The 12 Year old is the flagship Glen Moray from the distillery's age statement Elgin Heritage range. Unlike many of their releases, there is no finish or unusual casks used here, instead this 12 year old is aged exclusively in American oak casks.
It is packed with flavors of barley, vanilla, honey-roasted nuts, and white chocolate. A pleasing and affordable Speyside single malt, savor this one neat or with a drop of water. It will perform great in cocktails, too.

Nose
At full strength, the aroma is sweet, fruity and floral, exceptionally well-rounded and balanced in flavour, characteristic of this classic Speyside single malt. The first impression is of Highland toffee and candy floss with honeycomb and sweet malt note
Palate
As befits a classic Speyside malt, the taste is smooth, warming and rounded with a good firm body. Lots of sweet, soft malty flavours evolve in the centre of the palate, surrounded by toffee and mouth watering fruits: blackcurrants and dried apricots.
Finish
Toffee, blackcurrants and a hint of liquorice remains into the finish which is medium in length.
