About The Winery

Familia Zuccardi is among Argentina’s most influential wine families, with a story that spans nearly a century. The estate traces its origins to 1948, when Alberto Zuccardi began working in agriculture around Mendoza, later expanding into vineyards. His sons, especially Héctor Zuccardi, were pivotal in elevating both the family estate and Argentine wine culture in the late 20th century. Today the winery is led by Sebastián Zuccardi and his cousins, representing the third and fourth generations. 

Zuccardi’s vineyard footprint centers in the Mendoza region of Argentina, with a strong focus on the Uco Valley. The climate here is high-altitude and arid, with hot, dry days and cool nights, conditions that favor balanced ripening, bright acids and concentrated flavors. Elevations in the Uco Valley can exceed 1,000–1,500 meters above sea level, making it one of the world’s high-altitude premium wine regions.

Soils across their parcels are complex and varied, ranging from alluvial sediment conferring minerality and freshness, to more fragmented, calcareous components in certain blocks. This soil diversity allows Zuccardi to match specific varieties to the most expressive sites, a central pillar of their viticultural philosophy.

Vinification

In the cellar, Zuccardi blends scientific rigor with expressive winemaking. Indigenous and selected yeasts are chosen based on the wine and vintage, guided by both tradition and experimentation.

Aging regimes vary by wine, from stainless steel and neutral vessels for fresher styles, to French oak barrels for more structured reds and complex whites. New oak is used with intent - supportive, not dominant. 

On the nose, this Chardonnay reveals inviting aromas of green apple, citrus, and white peach, layered with floral hints and subtle mineral notes. The palate is crisp, fresh, and well-balanced, offering flavors of lemon zest, pear, and gentle creaminess supported by lively acidity.
