About The Winery

Domaine Heresztyn-Mazzini is a family-run estate based in Gevrey-Chambertin, producing precise, terroir-driven wines that combine Burgundian tradition with a modern, thoughtful approach.

Founded in 2012 by Florian Heresztyn and Émilie Mazzini. Florian is the grandson of Bernard Heresztyn and gained extensive experience working alongside his cousin Denis Mortet, which strongly shaped his understanding of Gevrey-Chambertin and its vineyards.

The estate reflects a broader European heritage: the Heresztyn family has Polish origins that later settled in Burgundy, while the Mazzini side carries Italian roots. In addition, Simon Mazzini, Émilie’s husband, brings a Champagne background, adding another layer of precision and balance to the domaine’s philosophy.

Vinification

In the cellar, the approach is low-intervention. Fermentations use native yeasts, extraction is gentle, and whole clusters are used selectively depending on the vintage and parcel. Aging takes place in French oak with a carefully controlled proportion of new barrels, adapted to each appellation. Wines are bottled without fining and with minimal filtration.

In recent vintages, the domaine has adopted Ardea closures, non-reactive “plastic” seals chosen to eliminate cork taint and preserve purity and consistency over time.

On the nose, this Pinot Noir reveals delicate aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and wild berries, layered with subtle floral notes and gentle spice. The palate is light, smooth, and vibrant, offering flavors of fresh red fruits, soft tannins, and a touch of earthiness supported by bright acidity.
