About The Winery

Domaine Faiveley is one of Burgundy’s oldest and most significant family-owned domaines, founded in 1825 and still run by the same family after seven generations. 

The estate was established in Nuits-Saint-Georges, which remains its historical and operational heart. Today the domaine is led by Erwan Faiveley, together with his sister Eve, who took over in the mid-2000s and initiated a clear qualitative shift, modernising viticulture and cellar work while reinforcing a strong terroir-driven identity.

Faiveley’s strength lies in its rare combination of scale and precision. With approximately 120 hectares under vine, it is one of the largest vineyard owners in Burgundy, yet its structure is resolutely domaine-focused rather than négociant-driven. The vineyards are spread across the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise, encompassing more than 60 appellations. Holdings include an exceptional lineup of Grand Cru sites such as Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, Mazis-Chambertin, Latricières-Chambertin, Clos de Vougeot, Musigny, Corton, Corton-Charlemagne, Bâtard-Montrachet and Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet. 

Pinot Noir dominates production (around 70%), with Chardonnay making up the remainder. All vineyards are estate-owned and estate-farmed, an important distinction in Burgundy, and are worked parcel by parcel. Under Erwan Faiveley, viticulture has moved decisively toward organic certification, with a strong focus on soil life, low yields, manual work and precise harvest timing. All grapes are hand-harvested and rigorously sorted.

On the nose, La Framboisière reveals delicate aromas of fresh raspberry, red cherry, and wild berries, layered with floral hints and gentle spice. The palate is smooth, vibrant, and well-balanced, offering flavors of red fruits, soft tannins, and subtle earthy undertones supported by refreshing acidity. The finish is elegant, bright, and lingering, leaving a refined fruity impression.
