Davide Fregonese, born and raised in Barolo, returned to winemaking after a career in finance, driven by a desire to reconnect with the lands he loved. His passion led him to acquire small but exceptional vineyard parcels in Serralunga d’Alba, where he works closely with highly skilled growers and enologists to craft wines of purity and precision.

The Cerretta cru — known for its compact clay, limestone, and iron-rich soils — produces Nebbiolo of exceptional depth and structure. Fregonese’s philosophy combines tradition with restraint: meticulous vineyard work, thoughtful yields, native fermentations, and careful ageing in large Slavonian oak botti. His wines speak clearly of place, offering Barolo with both power and finesse, density and lift.
