Scotch Whisky

Dalmore 18 Year Old

No rating
700 ml
  • Legendary Depth and Finesse

The Dalmore Distillery was founded in 1839 by Alexander Matheson, a trader who made his fortune in illegal opium imports from the Far East.

The distillery is located on the northern shores of the Firth of Cromarty, deep in the Scottish Highlands. It has changed hands several times over the years with Clan Mackenzie being in control the longest. Clan Mackenzie is to thank for Dalmore's signature twelve-progned stag included on all Dalmore bottles. The story of the stag goes back to 1263, when the head of clan Mackenzie heroically saved Scottish King Alexander the Third, with a single arrow to end the Stag's attempt.

Dalmore's annual release of 18-year-old single malt, matured in a combination of American white oak bourbon barrels (14 years) and 30-year aged Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks (4 years).

Splendidly sherried Highland single malt, brimming with candied citrus, dark chocolate, coffee, and spice
