The Dalmore Distillery was founded in 1839 by Alexander Matheson, a trader who made his fortune in illegal opium imports from the Far East.
The distillery is located on the northern shores of the Firth of Cromarty, deep in the Scottish Highlands. It has changed hands several times over the years with Clan Mackenzie being in control the longest. Clan Mackenzie is to thank for Dalmore's signature twelve-progned stag included on all Dalmore bottles. The story of the stag goes back to 1263, when the head of clan Mackenzie heroically saved Scottish King Alexander the Third, with a single arrow to end the Stag's attempt.
The Dalmore 15 year old was first launched in 2007. Matured in Matusalem, Apostoles and Amoroso Sherry casks, it proffers all those winter spice, orange zest and chocolate notes characteristic of Dalmore.
A favourite expression in the Dalmore collection, this 15-year-old is elegant and smooth, with lipsmacking texture and the flawless balance.

The 15-year-old Dalmore is an absolute delight to behold. The intricate combination of dried fruits, hazelnuts, and a captivating dry spiciness makes for an enchanting experience for the senses. The rich and indulgent Christmas-cake flavors of raisins, currants, cherries, cinnamon, and nutmeg bring supreme pleasure, while the enduring sweetness and raisin-infused finish leave an impeccable impression on the palate.
