Cointreau Orange Liqueur (700ml)

Cointreau Orange Liqueur (700ml) : An Iconic French Citrus Liqueur with Exceptional Balance

Cointreau Orange Liqueur is a world-renowned French spirit celebrated for its vibrant citrus character, refined craftsmanship, and versatility in classic cocktails. Created by Édouard Cointreau in 1885, this iconic orange liqueur has become an essential ingredient in professional bars and home cocktail collections around the world. Produced in Angers, France, Cointreau is crafted from a carefully selected blend of sweet and bitter orange peels, using traditional distillation techniques that preserve the natural aromatic oils of the fruit. Combined with pure water, sugar, and neutral alcohol, these ingredients create a remarkably balanced liqueur that brings together freshness, sweetness, and subtle bitterness. Bottled at 40 percent alcohol by volume, this 700ml expression showcases the precision and heritage behind one of France’s most celebrated liqueurs.

Crystal clear in appearance, Cointreau reveals an expressive citrus aroma led by fresh sweet orange and zesty bitter orange peel. The nose develops further with hints of mandarin, grapefruit, lime, and delicate aromatic spice, creating a bright and inviting bouquet. On the palate, the liqueur delivers a harmonious balance of juicy orange sweetness and refreshing citrus bitterness, complemented by subtle floral and spicy nuances. Its smooth texture and concentrated orange character provide impressive depth without excessive sweetness, allowing the natural complexity of the citrus to shine. The finish is long, clean, and fragrant, leaving lingering impressions of orange zest and fresh citrus oils.

Cointreau Orange Liqueur has earned its place as a cornerstone of cocktail culture, bringing aromatic depth and citrus balance to some of the world's most recognised drinks. Its precise blend of sweet and bitter orange peels makes it an essential ingredient in the classic Margarita, Cosmopolitan, Sidecar, and White Lady. Beyond cocktails, its concentrated citrus profile also works beautifully in contemporary mixed drinks and culinary creations, adding fragrant orange notes to desserts, sauces, and pastries. With more than 170 years of expertise behind the brand, Cointreau continues to demonstrate how carefully selected ingredients and traditional distillation can create a spirit that remains relevant to bartenders and cocktail enthusiasts alike.

Cointreau Orange Liqueur is best enjoyed as part of a freshly prepared cocktail or served over ice for a simple appreciation of its vibrant citrus character.
