Cheerday Strong Beer 8% (24-Pack): A Bold Chinese Lager with Rich Malt Flavour

Cheerday Strong Beer 8% is a high-strength lager produced by Hangzhou Cheerday Brewery in Zhejiang Province, China. Established in 1985 near Qiandao Lake, the brewery draws on the region's water resources and combines established brewing techniques with modern production methods. Crafted for drinkers who prefer a stronger alternative to conventional lager, this beer offers a robust malt profile, refreshing hop character and elevated alcohol content. The 24-pack is a practical choice for stocking up or sharing at social gatherings.

Pour into a clean glass to reveal a straw-yellow colour with lively carbonation and a light foam head. The aroma features grain and malt notes, accompanied by a subtle sweetness and gentle hop character. On the palate, expect a rich malt foundation balanced by moderate bitterness, with refreshing cereal flavours and a warming finish. At 8% ABV, it delivers a more pronounced drinking experience than a standard lager.

Cheerday Strong Beer is brewed using water, malt, hops and yeast, with rice also listed in some product specifications. Its reported original gravity of 18 Plato contributes to its substantial flavour profile, while its lager style keeps the taste familiar and approachable. The combination of malt richness, hop bitterness and stronger alcohol content makes it a distinctive option for fans of robust beers. The 24-can format also offers convenience for keeping your preferred beer stocked.

Serve well chilled and pour gently into a lager glass to appreciate its colour, aroma and carbonation. Its malty character pairs well with grilled beef, barbecue ribs, burgers, spicy sausages and roasted chicken. Salty snacks, seasoned nuts and mature cheeses also complement its fuller flavour. With its elevated alcohol content, enjoy it slowly in moderate servings and drink responsibly.
