Château d'Armajan des Ormes: Sweet Sauternes from Preignac

Château d'Armajan des Ormes is a full-bodied sweet white wine from the heart of the Sauternes appellation in Bordeaux, France. Produced by the Perromat family, sixth-generation vintners, this wine is crafted from a blend of 70% Sémillon, 25% Sauvignon Blanc, and 5% Muscadelle grapes. The grapes are hand-harvested in five successive passes to select the finest botrytised bunches. Fermentation occurs slowly in stainless steel vats, followed by aging in French oak barrels for 18 to 24 months, enhancing its complexity and depth. ​

On the nose, Château d'Armajan des Ormes reveals aromas of candied citrus, peach, honey, and butterscotch. The palate is rich and unctuous, featuring flavors of dried apricot, sweet orange peel, almond blossom, and honey, with butterscotch emerging on the finish. ​
