About The Winery

Cantine dell’Angelo is among the most respected artisan producers in the Greco di Tufo appellation, located in the heart of Irpinia. The Muto family has farmed the Torrefavale vineyard for generations, but it was the passion and dedication of Angelo Muto that transformed the estate into a reference point for terroir-driven Greco.

Torrefavale is considered one of the appellation’s great vineyards—its soils composed of volcanic ash, tuff, clay, and pockets of natural sulphur, giving Greco remarkable precision and minerality. Farming is meticulous, with low yields, organic practices, and an uncompromising focus on grape quality. Harvesting is done entirely by hand, with strict selection to ensure only the healthiest fruit reaches the cellar.

In the winery, the approach is clean and minimal. Fermentations take place in stainless steel to preserve aromatic purity, followed by extended lees contact that adds structure without heaviness.
