Pio Cesare Barbaresco is crafted from 100% Nebbiolo grapes sourced from select vineyard sites in the Barbaresco DOCG zone.

Following fermentation, the wine is aged for approximately two years, with a portion in French oak barrels and the remainder in large Slavonian oak casks. This combination of aging vessels imparts both structure and complexity to the final blend, allowing the wine to develop gracefully over time.

Pio Cesare, founded in 1881 in Alba, Italy, boasts a rich history of winemaking spanning over a century. With an annual production of approximately 350,000 bottles, Pio Cesare maintains a focus on small-lot winemaking, ensuring attention to detail and consistency across its range.
