    Arak El Massaya is renowned for its triple-distillation process, ensuring a smooth and clean flavor profile. This meticulous process uses traditional Moorish lid copper stills, enhancing the spirit's unique qualities. The distillation process begins with fermenting the grape juice, followed by careful distillation to create a high-quality brandy base, which is then flavored with high-quality, locally grown green aniseed.


    The spirit is aged in clay amphorae, allowing it to breathe and develop a slightly gold appearance, a testament to its quality and the traditional methods employed in its creation. This aging process, lasting many months, adds depth and complexity to the arak.


    El Massaya Arak is traditionally served with mezze, the Middle Eastern equivalent of tapas or small plates.


    It is best enjoyed diluted with water, which turns the clear liquid into a milky white, and served over ice. The spirit's versatile flavor profile also makes it suitable for creative cocktail concoctions, salad dressings, and even as an ingredient in ice cream.
