Abrau-Durso Reserve White Brut

Abrau-Durso Reserve White Brut: A Fresh and Elegant Russian Sparkling Wine

Abrau-Durso Reserve White Brut is an elegant Russian sparkling wine from the renowned Abrau-Durso estate in Krasnodar Krai, where vineyards benefit from the distinctive climate and terroir of the Black Sea region. Part of the Abrau-Durso Reserve collection, this white Brut is crafted from selected cuvée, or first-press juice, and produced using the Charmat method. The style focuses on freshness, aromatic intensity and lively fruit, making it an approachable sparkling wine for both celebrations and everyday entertaining.

In the glass, Abrau-Durso Reserve White Brut shows a pale golden colour with a fine and persistent stream of bubbles. The nose is delicate and expressive, revealing aromas of green apple, Williams pear and acacia blossom, complemented by subtle herbal and honeyed nuances. On the palate, it is fresh and well structured, with lively acidity, fine mousse and crisp flavours of green apple, lemon and lime zest leading into a clean, refreshing finish.

The blend combines Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Blanc, bringing together fruit, floral character and refreshing acidity. The use of carefully selected first-press cuvée helps preserve the brightness and aromatic qualities of the grapes, while the Charmat production method allows the wine to retain its fresh and vibrant character. The Reserve range is matured for at least 90 days, giving the sparkling wine additional roundness and aromatic development.

The combination of orchard fruit, citrus freshness and delicate floral notes gives this Brut a particularly versatile personality. Recent competition information for Abrau-Durso Reserve Brut describes the wine as citrus-driven and energetic, with fine bubbles, a rounded palate and a fresh finish.

For the best experience, serve Abrau-Durso Reserve White Brut well chilled at approximately 8 to 10°C. Pour gently into a flute or tulip-shaped sparkling wine glass to preserve its mousse and allow the delicate fruit and floral aromas to develop. Its fresh and dry character makes it particularly suitable as an aperitif, while its lively acidity allows it to transition easily into a meal.

This Russian Brut pairs beautifully with oysters, prawns, crab, smoked salmon and other seafood. Its crisp citrus character also complements light salads, steamed fish, delicate appetisers and soft cheeses. For a more traditional Russian-inspired pairing, serve it alongside blini with caviar or smoked fish, where its freshness and acidity help cleanse the palate.

Abrau-Durso Reserve White Brut is a versatile sparkling wine for celebrations, entertaining and relaxed dining occasions. Serve it chilled at gatherings in Jumeirah, Dubai Marina or Downtown Dubai, pair it with seafood around Palm Jumeirah, or enjoy it during celebrations in Yas Island, Saadiyat Island and Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi. With its fine bubbles, crisp citrus character, delicate floral aromas and refreshing finish, it brings an elegant expression of Russian sparkling wine to any occasion.
